The grapes and the vineyard

Merlot is variety with a long-standing traditionon these hills where it has proved a great adaptability to their peculiar pedoclimatic characteristics. The grapes reach an outstanding level of ripeness, giving veryelegant and perfectly balanced wines which are extremely agreeable.

The vinification: This Merlot is achieved from an old low-yelding vineyard where the selection of grapes was extremely rigorous. Grapes with intense colour and rich concentration were fermented in stainlees steel vats at controlled temperature, with a long maceration on the skin. The wine achieved is aged in French oak barriques for a long time where the malolactic fermentation is carried out.

Curiosities: Falesco’s flagship product, it was acclaimed since its inception as one of the largest and most innovative Italian red. It is the result of a blend of Merlot planted by grafters of Montpellier in a land traditionally suited to white grapes.
