The Wine
Maris comes from Chardonnay grapes grown on a soil particularly rich of fossils and oysters shells. The harmonic balance between the grapes and the soil, originated from Pliocene seas, gives us a sophisticated wine, fine on the palate, refreshing and mineral.
Terroir and Vineyards
Vineyards planted in 1976, 1986, 1997 e 2000. Facing southwest and southeast. Altitude 320 meters above sea level.
Soil Dates back to the Pliocene Age, marine origin, rich in fossils, shells and oysters. PruningSpurred cord, with 12-16 buds per vine.
Vinification
The grapes are first cooled and then pressed very softly. The grapes yield in must is 62%.
Fermentation
In stainless steel vats at 14°-16°C (57°-61°F) for 18 days. 10% of the must was fermented in new French oak.
Refining
Five months in stainless steel vats, then 6 months in bottle before releas
